Everyone plays their own ball. Players are paired based on final score and best ball is determined between their two scores. (1st and 16th, 2nd and 15th, etc), best score for the hole counts as the team score.

Feel free to do your own thing but I'm sure a group of us will find somewhere to watch the Chiefs game.

Saturday - Scramble

4-man scramble, teams are determined from previous day's pairings (1,8,9,16), (2, 7, 10, 15), (3, 6, 11, 14), (4, 5, 12, 13).

Saturday Afternoon - KU Game

Those interested will find somewhere to watch the KU vs MU football game, probably near-ish to the course.

Saturday Night - Champions' Dinner

Hang out at CJ's house for a while. Still determining if we'll eat somewhere first or figure out something else. Former champions, wear your jackets.

Sunday - Shamble

Shamble, teams select their best drive and then everyone plays their own ball from there. Individual scores are counted. Teams are loosely based on current standings but this will inevitably be changed based on travel needs.

Sunday Afteroon - Duffers' Cup Awarded

Cumulative score from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is used to determine this year's champion.

Rules to know:

Play it up - Give yourself a decent lie, keep it in the same cut and try to keep in within a scorecard's distance
Gimmies on Friday and Sunday, keep these within reason (inside putter grip)
Play OB as laternal hazard. Drop where it went out and add a penalty stroke
Gallery drop. If you hit a good shot that is clearly in play but for some reason can't be found (under leaves or something), take a free gallery drop. Your playing partners should agree before you do and not for scramble round.
Maximum score on any hole is +2. This keeps things moving and doesn't totally screw over your partner in best ball. Let's play to our talent level.
Friday ties are broken using number 1 handicap hole, then 2, 3, etc. Ties for winner are broken by a putt off, closest to the hole on a long putt, usually on the practice green.
The Committee will resolve any disputes, but this is a committee like the NFL and it is just the comissioner, so don't be a dick.
